The REDARC BCDC1225D is a 3 stage, 12V DC-DC battery charger that operates from an alternator input of 12V or 24V and unregulated 12V nominal solar input.
There are four (4) Charging Profiles on a REDARC BCDC1225D
Profile A – Max Voltage 14.6V (AGM)
Profile B – Max Voltage 15V
Profile C – Max Voltage 15.3V
Lithium Profile – Max Voltage 14.5V (LITHIUM)
To select Profile A leave the ORANGE wire disconnected
To select Profile B connect the ORANGE wire to the common ground
To select Profile C connect the ORANGE wire to the RED wire
To select Lithium Profile connect the ORANGE wire to the GREEN wire
We generally use Profile A for AGM batteries and Lithium Profile in the Power Easy Systems.
Step by Step Instructions on How to Setup Lithium Profile on REDARC BCDC1225D
1. You will need a REDARC BCDC1225D, flux core solder, side cutters, soldering iron, blow torch (or heat gun) wire strippers and heat shrink or electrical tape.
2. Seperate the GREEN and ORANGE wires from the other wires
